Thanksgiving was a great success.  Even though Hex is ( s t i l l ) not feeling well, we pulled off a great moist turkey and unique, complex stuffing.  Arrived in Leesburg at 8am, and ate by 1.  Parcheesi after dinner -- Hex finally won some games.

Back to the studio today - and all the typical feelings surface:

It's all this crazy mind game that strikes EVERY year the Friday after thanksgiving.  Really what I want to be doing is fun things with friends and family.  But I don't come to that realization until I'm sitting at my desk, avoiding the work I so excitedly planned to accomplish b e f o r e thursday.

oh well -- I'm leaving now to take Remi out.

so so week.  started well, but the holiday always finds of way of making everything crazy and stressful.

thinking I would be super productive today, but things didn't go as planned.

Tomorrow we trek to Leesburg early to cook the turkey.  Just hoping hex continues to get healthy, and all goes well.  As it should.

MY cold :(

good productive saturday, then a super lazy sunday.

Very warm today.  feels really strange.

days are going by really fast.

got lost in a card design today.  somehow I just kept working on it, and time flew by.  Looks like I'll be printing tomorrow (saturday).

it gets dark early, and it's still really cold.

bah humbug!

good productive couple of FREEZING days.  Hope this is not going to be our new normal this winter.

studio a little miserable when it's this cold - hoping to change out old windows soon.

feeling more healthy, but still blowing alot. Any activity brings with it a runny nose.  Poor Hexy sick too, but hoping he has a milder case.

November has been kind of a bust, but things coming in, and sold a few prints.  I really can't complain.

happy to get my card orders in, and moving onto new projects!

took remi for a mini flat walk in Rock creek saturday.  Nice to be out with her again.  I really miss our woods runs together.

Parchesi saturday night, and a lazy sunday.  Dinner with Rhodsa sunday night.

ended up super sick for 1-2-3-4-5 days!  Horrible cold with cough and sinus and chills and misery.  Today (thursday) I'm back at work full time.  Thought I was better Monday (!), but then had a mini relapse.  It's been tough to get over.

so I'm behind (kind of), and wadding my way through.  Always feel behind this time of year.  It's all a big race to make and sell with deadlines and angst.  I wish I could just settle into it, and not worry so much about the timing of everything.  WHen it's done it's ready.

shitty half-cold makes me feel half-well.

Spent waaaaay too much time on a print today.  Hopefully I won't  be reprinting this one in awhile, Im kind of sick of it!

I guess I'm kind of in a bad mood. Wish I felt better, and had more drawing success this week.

Oh well.

Got this today.  I just love it.

Keep thinking this lightening of inspiration will strike (after I do all my non-creative work throughout the day), but then it doesn't, and I end the day feeling panicky and unsettled.

Common and so typical.  All the pressure of the season starts to build.  Deadlines pile up.

I'll ge through it!

Dolcezza still up, but S I L E N T.  Really suprised it has been so stealthy.

Good weekend, but such a weather / temperature / time / light / month transition.  Everything seemed to dramatically shift into another season and time this weekend.  We are officially pre-holiday, post summer (fall).  Always kind of jarring and tough to get used to.

just wish I felt better leaving for the day.  I don't!
