Hoping for a good weekend!  Dog Days and Speakeasy and HAZE.  Prepared for hot weather and lots of sales.  Fingers crossed!

Feeling drained after another day of making shirts for the weekend.  Probably drained becasue I'm not totally done.  That last bit is always the hardest.  Like moving, the last load is 10 x harder than the first.

want to escape the studio, and get my eyes A W A Y from my screen - phone and computer.  They are bugging lately.

long day of making shirts for the weekend.  geez, they take a long while.  Not just a quick thing.  I'm making headway.

VP sale, but I don't know what to order.  Wish I had a bunch of new designs. :/

Remembering this time last year.  Finishing up at the corcoran, and excitement over moving into large space on 14th.  Then the bomb hit: we had to move our apt.  A terrible ending to the summer.

happy this year things are on track. Want to get the MOST out of August, because fall always hits so fast.

Kind of tired after working on cards and shirts for the weekend.  It hits my back in this really specific place -- shoulder blades.  Ha, I'm getting older!  Also realized I was having trouble seeing tiny type close up.

Typical weekend.  Work, bake, farmers market, law & order, coffee, pool, rockville, parcheesi.

Gearing up for the busy weekend ahead!  Lots of stuff going on, and I want to be prepared well for it all.

happy outcome on Andy and Sxxxx and Kxxx.  Still have one more to go.  All the trouble drawing them works out in the end.  Always does :/

Loriol Plaza lunch with Megan today.  We split a swirl, and I think our waitress was put off by that.  She brought us a mug with two straws, then way too long after returned with the second mug we requested, and divided it up (clinking and clanking and sloshing all over) at the table.  Ha - it was ridiculous.

Back to work later, and was actually productive.  Big weekend coming up next week.  Preparing with shirts...

Fast few days.  Weekend was kind of uneventful.  Not much going on Saturday, and Rockville Sunday.

Yesterday I went to work on commission, and waiting for feedback.

Printing ANDY (cat) today, and going well.  One little piece prevented me from finishing.  TYPICAL!!

Chicken with Kim and erin last night.  Always nice to check in with them and share Pollo Rico!

Last tomato bush on the studio balcony is struggling!  Others died out, and this one is barely hanging on, with 2 small green tomatoes dangling on the browning vine.  Wonder if they will grow to term.  Ha.

Went to Buzz Navy yard to take down all my prints.  They are going to convert the shop over to an extension of BLUE JACKET.  Seems like a good idea - buzz was starting to feel consumed by the restaurant.  Too bad that I lost my Navy Yard outpost though.  Another audience.

Finished up some commissions, and need to switch gears on new ones.

I loosened by spam settings thinking I was filtering out real mail.  Turns out I am just filtering m-o-r-e spam.  It's an avalanche.

July 13th!  Sue's bday, and my coming out anniversary.  Always memorable!

Good weekend.  We celebrated Sue's birthday yesterday with bbq pork, tomatoes and mozzarella and basil, peach pie (supreme) and English toffee.  All came out great.

Another thing to note:  Hex rose like a Phoenix to win a game of parcheesi!

Came home quickly to "relinquish" Jack back to Jerry and Tim.  We really liked having him.

Back at the studio today, and getting a slow start.  Typical Monday.  Summer going by fast.  Right around this time last year I was preparing to move into Studio A & B.  It's been a long transition ever since!

Working on some commissions, and need to get drawing.  More dogs, less cats!

Last days with Jack

Reliving the past lately.  Apple music + my "file" retrieved from Dad's stuff in the basement.  Really strange to sort through all the drawings and report cards and awards and keepsakes.   Freaky time capsule of memories long forgotten.

Apple music just as powerful.  Music is so tied up with time and place.  Community college, high school, one last song playing on the record player as I doze off to sleep.  Anyway -- all accessible through new streaming service, so I've been binging on memorable songs.  But it's this crazy mixed up buffet.  Have the same after - feeling as eating.  Stuffed and kind of sick.

Fine couple of days.  They go by fast!

ha - not in mood to write, my foot is already out the door for the day.  More tomorrow --

REALLY FUN morning shooting with Kevin again.  Kind of manic and a little lost, but then when I uploaded the pictures I felt happy.  It's always this big shot in the arm of creativity.  New content leads to new content.  It's so great that way.  It's like pushing a little snowball down a hill and it gains speed and weight.

Afterwards I just feel - MORE! MORE! MORE!  I don't want the fun to end.  But it does, and I go back to drawing, and . . .

I wish drawing was as stimulating.
