I realize I'm being so neglectful.  If there are any regular readers out there, I'm sorry for lack of updates.

The least I could do is update a little daily.



Tonight hexy an I are doing the high heel race.  Harajuku girls.  Should be great - and fun.  Goal: pics in press.

Good couple of says.  Tanya's print was a long slog Friday and saturday, but turned out great.  In the end that is all that matters.

late on all fronts.  Days go by, I work hard-ish, but I have just as much left over.  Feeling bogged down, but I'll get through.

Sales have STOPPED.  Crazy.  But I'm not so worried.  A pause before the storm (hopefully)

ANXIOUS to upload new shirts, and to come up with new designs. Christmas around the corner.

trip to XXX last night.  A little bummed to see the card racks full, and pushed off to the side of the counter.  Bad sign.  A slowly devolving move from prominent tray out front to nice rack next to register to nice rack off to the side.

Print sales have slowed considerably there, and it's becoming that awkward time when I don't know when or how to pull the plug.  Still a great tool to get the word out, but sure wish I could move pieces in and out much faster.  Now it's just turning into long term storage, and a distraction that doesn't pay off.  (GRUMPY about this…)

Slowing sales (and or turn out) always leads to self doubt and desperation.  I much prefer positive momentum!!  MCA open studios are such a great example.  Going into it everybody was so uninterested.  After a great solid weekend, we are all gung ho again.

It's hard being an artist!  Especially when things just sit, and don't sell.  Or when you feel like old news.  Or you don't know what to do.  I'm all of these things after this year.  Current venues peaked, and I've had nothing to pick up the slack.

Ok, suddenly this is turning into a pity party.  Just stream of thought…thats all.

fun shoot with Kevin today after two weeks off.  getting cold out, so I'm afraid we will be stuck inside for awhile.  But still fun :)

great MCA weekend.  good sales and crowds, and lots of fun having Michael C join us!

weeks have been going by so fast.  With printing and drawing and preparing for weekends, I've barely had time to clear my head.  Catch up.  breath.  feel normal.

today is another busy day.  Conflicted about priorities.  wanting to print, need to draw.  Want to work on website, need to draw.  Want to bring prints to trohv, need to draw.

a major accomplishment > sue is moved.

what a stressful couple of weeks it's been:  driving out to poolsville with dad every weekend, deciding about the studio upstairs, preparing shirts for shows, slogging though my difficult drawings. Saying goodbye to Hansel.  I'm really happy to have gotten through it.

yesterday I was on my own (hex went out to parent's).  It was nice to recharge with remi.  Pull back and take off.  And the massage really really helped.  I feel so much better and lighter and calmer.  Hopefully ready for the weeks to come!

october has been stressful.  Lots of things to worry about.  Tons to do.  Big unruly projects.  Materials that keep running out, or are mis-shipped, or lost, or stolen.  Money going out, and coming in slower.  darker days, crazy temperatures.  government unease and upset.

feel anxious about everything.

good couple of days.  drawing, getting ready for saturday in del ray, making new shirts, taking pictures, finishing prints, goofing off.

really fun afternoon shooting with kevin.  Weather has stayed warm, so I'm determined to get outside as much as possible.

I made a pact with myself not to upload the pictures when we got back, because that always leads into a 3+ hour black hole of fun, editing, and website redesign.  And I can't afford that.

days (weeks) slip by, and no progress is made on KEY projects.  no good.

but on the plus side, I'm feeling good.  happy with things : abandoning third floor studio, working with kevin, speakeasy drawings, new prints, new tees, new website art direction.  Money is not rolling in just now, but I feel good about groundwork I'm laying. (and hexy makes me happy)
