hot hot hot - working on Paula's winterberry and trying to think of new work.

Mixed bag of a week - very typical.

Felt more focused and accomplished early on.  towards the end I was focused on how nice it was outside, and how I felt stuck inside.

Reworked cards on Tuesday, and women's t's today.  Not completely settled, but better than before.  At least some good designs were added - more current options.

Started Paula's Winterberry, but need to finish up next week.

Made lots of FLAG shirts - printed!  Hope they sell well tomorrow for our pop up sidewalk sale.  We'll see.  Included kid's too.  Anxious to see how they are received.

IT'S VERY AUGUST.  I comment on it every year.  Things slow way down.  People leave, and generally everything comes to a grinding halt for a few weeks.  Time to settle in, and realize that September always comes way too fast.

Also making another WINTERBERRY reprint for Paula.  Kind of fun, I haven't made one of these  for a long while.

Standard weekend.  Nice to visit Hex's mother saturday, and avoid traffic on the way home.  Rockville Sunday.

Lots to accomplish next few days.  Thinking about another sidewalk sale saturday, so I need to prepare.  And I need to draw.  I always need to draw!

fun day at the studio going where my head told me to.  just being creative

past few days I've been making "wood specific" prints.  Little special prints made specifically with the wood in mind.  And I'm really happy with how they are turning out.

cutting paper, drawing, scanning.  All felt good.  I've got to get my head away from the idea of drawing one design with a clever caption that I can use for prints, shirts and cards.  Instead I'm much more content just making things, and seeing where it takes me.  (hopefully it will add up to something).  Much more fun anyway.

ok, time to call it a day.  LOVING soundcloud and apple music.  Finding all these old / new mixes, and it's great fuel for my creativity!

great successful weekend chock full of activities.

Dog days went well -- all the prep paid off.  We started around 12 on Saturday, and 1 on Sunday.  Story District event at TOWN Saturday night, and HAZE preview Sunday in VA.  All lots of fun, and put me in touch with fans, which is so helpful.  Weather was blistering, but time was on our side because the shade came in pretty quickly.  Drank lots of ice tea.

Saturday was the better day - usually is.  People are ready to spend. So nice to have Mer back again this year!

Nice to get the feedback on designs, in terms of what people like and ignore.  Fancy/schmancy is a dud!  cat with paws up a hit!  Ignored birds is a dud, but bossy squirrel always makes people laugh.  Bitches is losing it's luster, but why I otter is still a hit.  And this time I heard nothing about how small women's shirts are.  Funny.  Oh - and lots of kid's tees requests.

Sold a bunch of little prints, a few mugs, lots of shirts, and tons of cards.  People really love stocking up on $1 cards!

Prices were low, but I wanted to keep the sidewalk sale vibe.  Nice to be back in the neighborhood, but had to explain many times about my move, and my new (hard to envision for people) location.

Last minute flag t was a hit!  Really happy to have found a simple design to get rid of all my large dark shirts.  Ha - such a bsur move.  I remember amassing all that dead blank stock and printing random one-color designs on it all.  so many memories…

Anyway, lazy Monday (but aren't they all??).  Super hot, home stretch through summer.  I want to make the most of it, as always!!  Fall always comes up so fast.
