leaving tonight with no drawing progress.  or not much.

High Heel Race 2014 was great -- but a noticable decline in photos and interest.  strange!

Afterwards we stood around a bit, then back up to Tanya's to undress.  Like after church - it feels soooooooo good to strip out of confining uncomfortable clothes and into our regular garb.

Great day today.  Printing vibe is going well - im getting into a great and comfortable groove.  Liking the inks and my set up.  Things starting to feel NORMAL.

Frustrating interactions, but good resolutions.  It's wonderful to be on my own, and to make my own choices.  Easy to forget, but then when it comes into play, it means the world to me!!

Dancing around the studio to VAMPIRE WEEKEND blasting, I felt great.  This is my life!  Everything led up to that very moment.

November coming fast, then December coming faster.  Want to be in a good position for the holidays.

Ha - last year (Jan) I had such big plans for the year.  Some things panned out - others did not.  Really want to finish year strong!

Good weekend.  Not as crazy and booked up as last few weeks.  Nice to catch out breath a bit.

great creative day.  ha - only two designs done, but coming off my high from yesterday and listening to Kiesza on spotify and just generally feeling great and inspired and excited and and and …

days go by really fast.  Things are good - got to print some today, which feels good and productive.  Finding my groove.

Good weekend - open studios.  Little bummed Saturday -- it was slow, which leads to self doubt and and black holes, but Sunday picked up, and there was a better vibe overall.  Fun to share the new space, and demonstrate screenprinting.  Sometimes it's nice to have people's attention!

Nice time with Hexy Sunday am, celebrating Lola Goya's 100th.

We dashed out to Rockville Sunday night for Parcheesi.  Nice to keep the tradition alive.

Monday I had tons of emails to return, and lots to get to.  Feel a little more settled into the week today.

Not much action at Dolcezza.  Really unexpected - not sure what to think about it.  Maybe a combo of unexciting work, third time there, and different time of year.  I don't know.

Working on speakeasy 2015, and commissions, and new cards.  in a good creative place, which is niiiice.

Ok - off for the night.

flustered with what to do - how to spend my time.  MCA weekend approaches - and it's just me!  weird and (uncomfortable).  Lots of raw space.  Not really happy with this and that.  Feels scattered and very incomplete.

OH WELL.  I made shirts, i'm going through my print list.  I'll have cards.  make it work.

think I may be done with MCA after this…

Gloomy, dark, slow, wet monday.  Columbus day, so it's one of those sorta-holiday days.

Good fast weekend with downtime spent hanging artwork in the new apartment, hanging out with Bill and Anne Saturday night, and a quick trip to Rockville sunday afternoon.  Had a little pot-luck party last night at Sheon's to celebrate bdays.  Popeyes chicken, salad with pear, white pizza, fried rice, and coconut cake.

Back to work today on Speakeasy designs.  All going well and fine.

Not sure my mood.  Always a tough transition through fall.  Darkness falls (way too early).  It's going to be a tough rainy week.

MCA this weekend, so I need to prepare.  And get into gear with printing, not that everything is in place.

printing coming along.  Learning the new inks, and the space.  These inks are like pudding -- and don't dry as fast.  Something I really need to get used to!  But all is good.  I'm feeling great about the progress I'm making.

not such a good drawing day - which is a drag!  Sometimes I just can't turn on the spigot.  Nothing good came to mind.

Loving the new apartment - and this new sense of ease / calm, now that all the big stuff has passed.  Ready to enjoy all the success with Hexy, and just relax and look forward to the future.

Dolcezza install was a bit harrowing, but all worked out in the end.

Made first print today in new studio!  Why I otter mini.  All worked fine, just have water kinks to work out.  Happy to have made incredible progress.  UP and AWAY!!

starting to settle in new apt

rough
hard
exciting
therapeutic
draining
nuts
intense
insane
never ending
non stop

good moving day over all.  It just keeps going.  Cleaned old apartment today, and dealt with the 1,000,000 odds and ends of life that still linger in the no man's land between apartments.  LOVE the new place, and really excited for the change.  Just so happy we are 90% through the madness.
