Monday, and semi productive after big deadline last Friday.  Hexy away in LA, and I had Dr Office cleaning to do for him, and an artwork deadline for OD.  Got everything finished, and it was a big relief, but then I went straight into SLUG MODE.

Finally got Feb postcards out Saturday, and Sunday was a crappy cold rainy snowy day, so mostly stayed home.  Poor ladies were semi-neglected from their walks.  I did my best.

Anxious for warmer weather to finally arrive.  I am feeling so sick of being cold outside!!

Hex just landed, so it will be nice to get back into our couples routine again.  Working with Cher tomorrow, and I expect that to be controversial.  Hope not : /

Time to totally regroup, finish up a long overdue commission, and M O V E O N > > > > >

Lots of art to accomplish.

Yikes, things can sure turn!

Last week slowly dissolved into sickness (again !!).  Caught a bad cold from Hex (again !!) and after Wednesday I was done coming to the studio.  Ugh, everything got put off, which really sucks.  Lost days drive me crazy.

Back this week, and it's not like I am working double time now.  I immediately shift back into my ho-hum pace, it's just that now everything is late, and behind.

FINALLY got postcards ordered yesterday after psychosis over what design to use.  I was in knots with conflicting thoughts, and the ordering process made it even worse.  Finally chose a safe option that I could use for FH as well.  Next month, I need to do things differently.

I need to do everything differently.

Dropped prints at SM GTOWN today, and discouraged as usual over my card rack placement, and paltry shelf.  I really am shooting my self in the foot, over and over and over.  Like what I dropped, but just have to keep printing and stocking.  And dropping by there.  Jan sales were worst ever - just horrible.  I have to turn things around.

Hex leaves for LA tomorrow, so hoping I can spend lots of time on things neglected.  WORK, DOGS, STUDIO, DAVE.  Fingers crossed to don't enter a catatonic state, stay in bed, and wait for him to return.

So so Monday.  Lots of hopes and dreams, haha, and just the regular old production cycle.  Working my way thru screens I burned last week, making paper and wood prints.  All going fine but slow.

Email from SM Saturday was supposed to put a fire under my ass.  But it didn't (today).  I did get stickers finished and ordered over the weekend, so that's good.  But made some changes today, so they will be delayed until that's worked out.

Getting a cold (from hex) - -  right on schedule.  Inevitable outcome.  There is no other way, indeed.

Haha - so many days unblogged!

The snow has suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked!!  Super cold weather kept it all around, and it's been a real misery getting around town, to the studio with dogs.  Just got back from walking them and they were covered in wet soot / salt.  Yuck.

Today as the first day I drove in two weeks.  So nice!!  I was irrationally nervous about where I would be able to park.  Found spaces easily.

I have been so triggered by Popville posts about spot saving.  Turns out everybody thinks if you were a hero and dug out your own car, for your own benefit, you therefore can claim the space as your own for days, and nobody dare use it, or they open themselves up to urine on the door handles and flat tires.  It's nuts.

Sure enough, there was a cooler saving a space on swann, and it took a lot of willpower not to set it aside.  Mind your own business, Dave?

This week I spent days avoiding drawing my one lingering commission (from Oct) because it was so daunting.  I tried hard in Dec to come up with something, but could never get there, so it's been the specter haunting me.  Every day/week I thought about it and somehow justify not working on it.  I finally had no justification, so I bucked down yesterday and actually got somewhere!  Like it so far, but more details need to be added, and an elusive caption.  But I'm well on my way which makes me happy.

I burned screens early in the week and have been slowly getting thru the prints on paper I planned to make with them.  They really take time.  Printing is a slooooow process for me.  I also have lots of wood prepped, so I'm making some on wood as well.  Much easier!

RANDOM:  just hauled in two wooden shelf/cabinets out of the cold/snow.  One has been out back in the trash since before the snow.  I checked it out as soon as I saw it, but thought no, not going to bother with it.  But every day it sits out there, and I see it from my balcony.  Then walking the ladies I saw another painted / crackled one by Paul's on T St, and again, I said NO, I'm not going to bother.

But then as I walked the dogs tonight, it came into my mind again, so I went back to see if it was there.  NO, I'm not going to bother with it - I said to myself a second time, and left it there again.

Back at my studio, after cleaning off the dogs, and having to take out trash that has sat outside my door all day, I decided my plan: I had to have both.

So I wrangled the one out back, out of the deep snow concrete, and brought it in.  Then marched over to T street, and hauled back the other.  Somehow I had to have them.  To sell, or take apart for wood?  Unsure.  But they were connected to each other, and had spirits that I couldn't ignore.  Haha, so strange, so Dave.
