I've been doing some fun things lately. Since it's impossible to format posts here with pictures AND text together, and not have the text all up over the side of the photo, I'm reduced to just posting photos, with no captions.

All this to say: Pictures below are new speakeasy illustration, and a shirt I did for Cherry Weekend Fundraiser event at caramel this weekend.

I'm really enjoying the speakeasy gig. They are really fun to draw, and Amy is such a terrific cheerleader. It's a great thing, and hopefully a door to more.

The cherry t was fun too. I pick them up from GG tomorrow. Think they'll be great, and a big hit. Fingers crossed.

I'm so rusty and behind on blogging. I need to get back into it. I've been busy the past few days, but things have eased up a bit. But just as I write that, the second I type that out (actually while I type that), i think of the million things I should be doing, and have to do, and feel guilty about not doing right now, blogging instead.

I don't like this new hair-trigger anxious dave that I've become. I'm not sure how I got here. I want to be more relaxed. And CONFIDANT that I'm doing the right thing. Calm and focused. I want that feeling. Maybe I need a vacation.

I scraped my knuckle on the screen, and had to make a band aid with paper towel and packing tape. I suffer for my art!

I haven't had much time still to post.  Another crazy week, but the craziness is defiantly subsiding.

Managed to get Barb her paintings Wednesday after a super hectic day of traveling to Baltimore and finishing up the framing.

Thursday was a chance to catch my breath, return a few emails, make and send tons of shirts, cut a million boards, and see cliff.

Today I reprinted "Nobody was fooled", and was super successful doing it.  Felt great at the corcoran.  Work flowed, like it is supposed to.

Now I have TONS of smallish boards to print on, and I'm super excited about it.  Think it will all be really successful.

Happy to go forward.  Onward!

note: new photo series -- dogs tied up, waiting on the sidewalk.  I see so many great characters around the neighborhood.  Glad to finally make the decision to photograph them.  Will be fun!

so much change - it's all around me.

i had a mini-breakdown Sunday, after hex and I left Cliff's apartment.  Thinking about Cliff leaving really struck me.  his apartment has been a constant all these years.  The site of so many good times.  Friends moving away from DC, and moving back.  Fabulous parties. My 30th surprise.  movie night with Jeanette. High heel races.  oscar parties.  jenga.  Butter. Remi. Hex. Richelle.

There are sooooo many memories wrapped up there.  cliff joked that it's like the end of a great sitcom.  That's so true.  I will miss his place on Willard, and more importantly, i will really miss him.

I have been so busy the past few weeks.  Wrapping up big projects that have tentacles of tasks and shopping demands.  I've been to Home depot & Ace Hardware multiple times.  It's all stretched me really thin.  I feel washed out!

Many of the big things will be finished (accomplished) this week.  I know there will be this horrible vacuum of regret and emptiness after it's all done.  There is always this hangover I feel.

But anyway, I've been busy, and look forward to a moment to catch my breath, and chart my course.

finished up Axis (still working on?) and started prints at corcoran.  Lots to do still, but I'm back on track!

another non-corcoran day!  I feel like a tool.  What is my problem?  I guess I'm just retarded.  I'm getting stuff done here, but what is my priority.  GRRRRR.

Another really busy day.  They stack up.

I have big things on my plate.  I decided to skip Corcoran today, and try to wade thru all the projects here.  Did pretty well, but not complete.  Hope this week doesn't turn into a printing wash.  Really hope to use that awesome open studio time.

Made new postcards and business cards.  Excited to see them arrive.  Fun to play!  hope they're great!

feeling better about things now that the u-turn has progressed.

back at the corcoran, printing things I enjoy, succeeding, and generally feeling relieved.  It's nice.

Excited that this week is spring break for the school, which means OPEN STUDIO almost all week, which means I'll have tons to quality time working!  That is such good news, because I want to do some great new stuff for Trohv's (red tree tacoma park) new store.  Some branddave stuff.

Ducks are in a row for success next week.  Shirts, prints, models, installations, paintings.

in the weeds, trying hard to swim out.  I've been so tied up, and thought I was getting loose, only to be tied up tighter.  Struggling to complete axis, and start new pressing things.

Had an awesome time with Renato yesterday.  A rock solid heartthrob.  I have more plans for him!

Canceled more shoots planned for today, to deal with bigger things.  All will work out!  Eventually.

I'm really tired. But I can't stop until after I'm done.

ALMOST made a huge mistake today. Glad I dialed back. Besides, I can get a massage next week!

Things are falling into place. Next big hurdle is the window install. Think I'm finally going to tackle that tomorrow.

past few days have been busy at the corcoran, printing the last two "print/painting axis prints".

Now I need to finish them up and install, and I'm feeling a little stalled again. Much to do.

First day back to the studio, and I feel overwhelmed with little details to take care of.

But I will get things done.
