my head is is a loop d loop, and I'm having the hardest time concentrating.

all I can do is check my phone (email).  Mondays can be stupid.

PAINTED new studio, which is a big task and good payoff.  Painting always feels good.  The results are quick and dramatic.

Really happy with my blue floor.  A good choice.  Of course now everything else looks shabby and dim and sad.  It's only natural that it will all need to be addressed - sooner then later.

Couple of big hurdles to clear, and I'll be set to print.  Meantime, I need to FOCUS on drawing.  Bad has become worse.  i don't know what my problem is.

Good weekend.  Sunny and peaceful.  pool, rockville, farmers market, home depot, dolcezza boxes, true blood, farmland, dc noodles.  so summer.

Fourth coming up, so it makes this week tough.  All feels anticlimactic.

If I could just make drawing progress, I'd feel 10,000 times better.

corcoran fine, but not productive enough.  the time goes by really fast - maybe if there was 1 more hour.

lots of fun today shooting with Kevin.  It's been 6 months?
Shirts were fine and all, but it was amazing how he transformed when he went back to what he was wearing (flag tank).  Amazing.  He can get in certain light and just become GOLDEN.
Very fun and entertaining guy.  I really love working with him.   No plan, just all worked out great.

good solid print day.  The sessions are short, but functional.  Anxious about losing the corcoran.  All the familiarity and supplies and equipment.  Time clicks closer…

heat wave continues, but happily / luckily it's not getting in my way.

Air conditioned head.  holed up in my studio, with depeche mode (spotify), bananas, too many otter prints, t-shirts, and ice tea.

shooting with kevin tomorrow, and printing at the corcoran.

good weekend last.  re-discovered the pool, and the joy (not really) of shopping.  I hate shopping, but really love the pool.  Hopefully I can make it there often.  My farmers tan is horrible.

Nice Sunday in Rockville.  Lots of work, but all came out well.  Another father's day…

interesting week.

something in the air - I'm up and down.  Feeling inspired, then out of body.  dull and busy.  Excited boredom.

I found my spark (spotify/ depeche mode).  Just the fuel I need.

I'm holding summer in both hands, like something precious and fragile and cherished.  It's already ticking away, and not enough has been enjoyed or accomplished.  I just love the feeling:

friends house
wet lawns
hot car seats
wet suits
hot pavement
steamy grass
cutoffs
loud music
shenanigans

weird weird weird.  strange bad day.  construction noise + monday + heat = nothing.
things feel in flux and I feel a little paralyzed.  No progress on drawing, which SUCKS.  this week has got to turn around.  it's only monday :(

busy busy corcoran, but somehow I was able to focus and print.  Helps enormously that all screens were made, and it was a reprint.  Guess that needs to be the pattern going forward.

happy to see cards selling in Navy Yard.  Not so much prints, but I guess it's an outpost.

H st. winding down.  Planning to decamp sometime mid month.

Fun end-of-day being creative.  Need a thousand more afternoons like this.

Really vibing on summer.  Last year there was such an enormous drag with Jimmy's surgery and recovery.  I dont feel that weight this year.  Just good weather and good mood.  Hopeful and happy.

Keegan up and running.  Excited to see what he does...

Ha - monday morning's good mood has devolved into monday afternoon's sourpuss.

nice weekend NOT working, which looks like it will become standard, at least for the summer, or a few weeks, or until further notice.

Nice time with Hexy gardening, coffee-ing, napping, bbq'ing, parcheesi-ing, and shopping.  Awesome weather.

Long day in Rockville yesterday.  Steak + pork + zinnias + walk at the school with Remi.  Our Great Falls walks have been downgrading significantly.  Poor baby is just not up to long hot walks in the woods anymore.  She has really slowed down, and her confusion (temp blindness) continues.

Anyway, think it's a great idea to be away from the studio for a few days, and come back strong mondays.  So nice to have my saturdays free of printing.

Feeling a little worried overall about "progress" and sales.  HM has been strangely silent, and things at B,T, and H have all been on a downward trend for a long while now.  D  coming up, and I'm sure others too, but feeling a little antsy all of a sudden.
