dear dave,
A respectable day back at work. The past week or so has been off and on. Here but not here. I just wanted to do nothing, but quickly felt guilty about that.
Anyway, took Jimmy's christmas tree down yesterday, saw Sherlock with Hex, and lazed around. Back to the studio today after a false start - replacing a burned out headlight.
Really interesting lesson - thoughts lead to actions! Hex was convinced I would buy the wrong bulb, so he went with me to buy it. Even at the store he was so anxious about it - but we looked it up, and bought the bulb that their computer data base specified.
We returned home, struggled to get the old one out, then couldn't get the new one in. We had the wrong one! He knew it! It was wrong! Told you so! We needed one with 2 grooves! The one we bought had one! They told us the wrong one! We have to go back!
Drove all the way back to the store (not a fun trip), returned the bulb, but they didn't have any of the "correct" bulbs in stock, so we went across the street to another shop.
There we finally discovered our mistake. Hex pulled the high beam bulb out to replace (one groove), while we needed to replace the low beam bulb all-along (which is what we bought and returned, then bought again!).
Not to blame poor Hex, because I know he had the best of intentions, but he created all this in his head. He was so convinced I would buy the wrong bulb, that his thoughts and actions made it so.
Kind of interesting....
